Red Oak Floor, Stained

This job entailed a complete refinishing of all the rooms on the first floor of the house: 2 bedrooms, living room, sunroom, hallway, foyer and dining room. A custom threshold was made from pieces of Red Oak and Brazilian Cherry and installed between the living room and the foyer, creating separation between the living and entry area.

Living room
Red oak flooring was stripped and sanded, then buffed. Floor was hand stained and then polyurethaned.

Sun room
Red oak flooring was stripped and sanded, then buffed and polyurethaned.

Bedroom
Red oak flooring was stripped and sanded, then buffed and polyurethaned.

Living room Threshold
Flooring was cut out and custom Red Oak and Brazilian cherry inlay were inset to create this threshold between the living room and foyer (bottom). The foyer had not been poly coated when the picture was taken, and shows the original color of the living room flooring.
