Kitchen Addition

This home featured an unfinished back porch. The porch had no plumbing, little support, and little electricity. In this project, the foundation was shored up, water lines for plumbing and heat were installed, and circuits were added to the electrical system. Walls were taken down to stud, insulated, sheet rocked, taped and painted. Recessed lighting was installed. Fixtures, cabinets, countertops and island were fabricated and installed. The original roof line was raised, and a skylight was installed. The original kitchen area was converted into a formal Dining Room.

Custom Cabinets
Photo shows custom cabinets built completely to spec for this kitchen, taking into consideration applicance size and placement. Former doored entryway from enclosed porch to dining area was widened, and the door removed.

Island/Range/Sink
A detail of the island, which allows ample storage and the range. Above the range is space for a mircowave oven (not installed at the time of this photo). The floor, also new, is tile.

Cabinets/Sink
Detail of glass doors on cabinets and windows installed over sink area.

Skylight
The skylight installed in the newly raised roof provides plenty of sunlight over the counter and island areas. Custom track lighting adds plenty of light to work by. To the left of the picture, one can look into the old kitchen area, now a dining room.
