Basement conversion to Living Space/Gallery/Cedar Closet/Storage Area

This home featured an unfinished basement that the homeowner wanted to convert to livable/usable space for guests. The space also acts as a gallery, paying homage to their heritage, by featuring familial furnishings and artwork. The design called for installation of walls built inside the perimeter of the cinder block walls, allowing for air movement and crawl space access around the new space. A new pergo floor was installed in the finished area, as well as drop ceiling and recessed lighting. A cedar closet was built for storage of clothing, and wooden storage shelves were built in the unfinished laundry/utility area to maximize storage space.
